Nightmare Before Christmas by astraldreamer Nightmare Before Christmas by astraldreamer
This is a gift for a friend for Christmas. It's only my second pyrography work and I had a little trouble in the fine areas as I only have a very broad tool. I ended up gouging too deep in one area. But I still think she will like it. She is a big NBC fan.

Really cool! Both my kids (well they are not so much kids anymore, 17 and 21) have a fascination with Nightmare before Christmas. They would love this!

WOW! I would not have picked you as old enough to have grown kids. Mine are 17 and 14 and people say I look too young for that. I was 23 when I had my son.

I got married at 19 and had my first at 21, sounds like we did about the same thing. It worked out kind of nicely, my kids are grown now and I have a lot of time to do my own thing now, I am loving this time in my life, haha! I get the same thing when I am out with my kids, let alone both of them tower over me. I am glad people think I am too young for grown kids, makes me feel much better about being in my 40's! LOL! That was the hardest birthday for me. Now 50 will be the next big hump for me to get over! :)

Same for me. I freaked out about being 40. Then finally relaxed into it. I'm mostly Ok with my age now (42 in February). My daughter is still going through the teenage trials at 14, but mostly independant. My friend all have quite little kids and at parties I pity them running after their broods while my kids are sitting with us and enjoying the conversation. Mind you it was me doing the running years ago when my friends were childless. My husband is 2 years older than me, but looks even younger than me. When he walked into school with my daughter a while back a few of her friends asked if he was her brother. That chuffed him no end.

We are pretty close in age! I will be 43 in May! My friends are the same way. I am glad I am out of the running after small children stage!

Well there you go! I don't feel so alone now. I thought i was a bit of a rare (senior)  bird here at DA.
The toddlers and under 7s were probably the worst for me. I must say I have enjoyed my kids more and more as they have gotten older.
